Weekly Photo Challenge: Relic #3 07-13-14

The relics that are found at the Furnace Creek Ranch in Death Valley National Park are a reminder of the days gone by when this area was mined for borax. The steam engine “Old Dinah” replaced the 20-mule teams that were used to remove the borax from the valley. Old Dinah was eventually replaced by the railroad. Here are some photos of Old Dinah and some of the other relics.
