Weekly Photo Challenge: Relic #2 07-12-14

At the Viking Ship Museum (Vikingeskibshallen) in Roskilde, Denmark you will find relics of old Viking ships. Vik literally means “shallow inlet” so “Vikings” are the people who lived along those inlets. The museum is located on one such inlet. The ships that are displayed in the museum were deliberately sunk a thousand years ago to block a nearby harbor. They were recently excavated, preserved and pieced together for display.
