Weekly Photo Challenge: Work of Art #3 05-20-14

The Town of Sheffield in Tasmania has turned itself into a “work of art.” In the 1980’s the Town was in a state of economic decline. To reverse this trend the clever townspeople came up with the idea of decorating the town with large colorful murals, mainly depicting the history of the local pioneers. The first mural was so well received that they now have 50+/- spread all over town and Sheffield has become known as the “Town of Murals”.
