The Nidarosdomen (Nidaros Cathedral) in Trondheim is built on the site of Kristkirken, over the grave of Olav the Holy. The oldest part of Nidaros Cathedral dates back to around 1320. The Romanesque  and Gothic style cathedral is the largest construction in Norway from the Middle Ages. It is 335 feet long, 164 feet wide and the main tower is 321 feet high. It is the traditional location for the consecration of the King of Norway. One of the chapels houses the Norwegian crown jewels, including the crowns of the king, queen and prince.
