Corals of the Galapagos Islands

Although the Galapagos Islands straddle the equator there are no coral reefs to be found in the archipelago. However there are a few locations were corals do grow. These photos are of the coral covered cliffs of the Guy Fawkes Islets located near the island of Santa Cruz. Lost among the detail of the corals are the beautiful tropical fish, of which there are more than 400 species found in the Galapagos Islands. If you look close enough you will find them in these photos.
