Here is my take on this week’s photo challenge. Home can range from the barest minimum of shelter, such as the cave dwellings located just outside of Xi’an, China to the extravagant palace at Versailles built by Louis XIV. These cave dwellings were still occupied until just a few years ago when the Chinese government relocated the inhabitants to make way for a new development project that was just beginning when we visited. This is not a normal tourist stop when you are visiting China and the Chinese people probably wondered why those crazy Americans were stopping on the side of the road and hiking across a construction site just look into a cave. On the other hand, Versailles is one of the most visited tourist attractions in France and it is so large that it is impossible to see everything in a single day. However for me the last photo represents my home. I took this photo of the sunrise one day while out for my morning walk. Nothing represents South Florida better than palm trees, the beach and the sun.
