Lake at Num-Ti-Jah Lodge - Canada

Bow Lake and Crowfoot Glacier – Alberta, Canada

Num-Ti-Jah Lodge

Num-Ti-Jah Lodge at Bow LAke

Bow Lake is a relatively small lake located within Banff National Park in western Alberta, Canada. It is located on the Bow River in the Canadian Rockies at an altitude of 6,300 feet. Suspended above the lake is the  Crowfoot Glacier, which is on east of the Continental divide, and the runoff from the glacier supplies water to the Bow River which then feeds into the lake. Bow Lake is one of the beautiful turquoise blue lakes that can be easily reach from the Icefield Parkway as you head north towards Jasper National Park. It is a great stop for a photo opportunity. However if you would like to spend a little more time in the area the Num-Ti-Jah Lodge is located on the lake shore. The lodge is a rustic mountain lodge with 25 rooms that have no phones or TV in the room to interrupt your retreat to nature. After a day of  exploring  the surrounding nature, where you will find many popular hiking trails and sightseeing attractions in the area, you can return to the lodge for a hot showers and dinner in the Elkhorn Horn dining room with its stunning and beautiful views of Bow Lake, the mountain peaks, and glaciers. After dinner you can sit around the large stone fireplace for a nightcap before retreating to your room and crawling under the thick duvets for the night.
