The mode of transportation is an often overlooked part of traveling. Many people just want to get to their destination, but how you get there is part of the fun of traveling. When we plan trips, we often look to incorporate various forms of transportation including planes, trains, boats, buses, autos, horses and feet. Here are a few photos of usual and unusual modes of transportation.

These boots are made for walking

Don’t want to walk, ride a horse

Or horse-drawn carriage

Or ride a bike

Don’t want to peddle, take a pedicab

Or a moped

For longer distances ride a bus

Or if on a glacier ride the Ice Explorer

When the water isn’t frozen take a boat

The Vikings built ships for longer distances

This boat won’t get you very far, but it’s fun for the canals of Amsterdam

The gondola is the Italian version of fun and romantic

But if you need to climb a mountain try a different type of gondola

For long distances on land go by scenic tour trains

Working trains

Or high-speed trains

Float planes are great for sight-seeing

But for a real out-of-this world experience you would need a Space Shuttle
Fabulous!!!!!!
