Shipping and Transport College – Rotterdam, Netherlands

Shipping and Transport College

The city of Rotterdam in the Netherlands is world-famous for its modern architecture. There are many buildings and bridges around the city which have unique geometric shapes. Located adjacent to the port, in the Lloyd district, is the Scheepvaart en Transport College (or Shipping and Transport College in English) which is a great example of the beautiful geometric modern architecture. The building immediately strikes the viewer with its shape of a huge periscope of a ship. The outside of the school looks like a huge checkers game with its gray and blue panels, which makes the facade of the building remind you of shipping containers.
