Travel Photo of the Day 10-14-2012

Baby Sea Lion – Galapagos Islands

The Galapagos sea lion is ubiquitous throughout the islands. The population is estimated to be around 50,000 and you will see them at virtually every site. The babies are so inquisitive that they will come right up to you. They are so cute that you will want to smuggle one home in your suitcase. But what do you do with a 300 pound fully grown sea lion? And where will you get all the fish you need to feed them? Best to take lots of photos instead.
