Tarzan Swing – Rincon de la Vieja, Costa Rica

Kazm Canyon – Rincon de la Vieja, Costa Rica

One of the most popular adventure activities in Costa Rica are canopy tours. There are many locations around the country where you can zip above the tree tops. But there is a unique canopy tour located in the Rincon de la Vieja National Park in the northwest portion of Costa Rica. What makes this canopy tour different is that most of zip lining is done above the Kazm Canyon. After hooking up your harness on a big wooden deck, just like in your back yard, you move to the edge, sit down, lift your feet and off you go for the first zip above the canyon to a platform bolted into the side of the canyon wall. From there we moved on to a second platform mounted onto the wall and then we made our way over to the small ledge (where the guide is standing in the top photo) grabbed the rope and took the Tarzan swing across the canyon to the other side. From there we climbed to the next platform and the remaining zips were above the tree canopy. If you are into extreme adventures, this is the canopy tour for you.
