Mount Juliet Estate

Mount Juliet Estate – Thomastown, Ireland

Mount Juliet Estate and Hotel is located 20 minutes from Kilkenny, an hour from Dublin or 30 minutes from Waterford in County Kilkenny, Ireland. Hidden away in 1,500 acres of lush rolling fields and fragrant woodland is a magnificent Georgian mansion that was named by the Earl of Carrick after his wife Juliana, who was always known as Juliet. The home is set on a hill overlooking the River Nore. Located adjacent to the house are the Rose Garden Lodges and the Clubhouse Rooms, the original hunting stables of the old estate and now the heart of Mount Juliet’s sporting and leisure activities. The estate also includes a Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course where PGA events have been held (they were preparing the course for the PGA tour event scheduled the week after our visit), a luxury spa, river and lake fishing, woodland walks, bike rides through the estate, and much more. Once you have passed through the gates of Mount Juliet Estate you will find yourself in a different world.

  1. If you’re going to be in Cancun between February 23-26, don’t miss the Mayakoba Golf Classic. Just south of Cancun on Playa del Carmen, it’s a blast and the only chance you’ll have to see a PGA TOUR in Mexico this year. Tickets are only $10! http://bit.ly/y79TV3
