Temple – Selinunte, Sicily

Selinunte is located on the southwest coast of Sicily. It was destroyed in its attempt to expand in 409 BC and 16,000 citizens of Selinunte were slain by the Carthaginian. But despite the frequent devastation of wars between the Greeks and Carthaginians, the Doric Temple survived.
