Ngamokaiakoko Mud Pools – Rotorua, New Zealand

The Ngamokaiakoko mud pools were named after the playful nature of Tamaiti Komopuna (children) residents who lived here at one time. They were affectionately referred to as Ngamokaiakoko. The mud pool are just one of the many geothermal sights that you will find at the Whakarewarewa (fa-ka-re-wa-re-wa) Thermal Village near Rotorua on the North Island.
