Travel Photo of the Dat 6-25-2011

Haleakala Crater - Maui, Hawaii

After making the long trip up to the top of Haleakala, it was cold, windy and fogged in. When we left Lahaina at the beginning of the trip it was sunny and mid 80’s. Our guide told us to just hang out and a wind gust will blow out the clouds and the view will be worth it. He was right. This is what opened up when the wind gust came through. We stayed and watched this occur 3 or 4 times before heading back down to the warmer temperatures.
